How it works
Upload a photo you own or have permission to process. Keep the original somewhere safe. The original is your reference if you need its capture details, edit history or Content Credentials later.
The service creates a separate copy and removes common metadata fields such as EXIF, IPTC and XMP. These can include camera details, capture time, location or editing software. Metadata removal does not edit the picture to remove a watermark. Exporting a new file may re-encode it, so compare the result with your original.
Check the file details and save the processed copy. Compare it with your original before sharing. A copy with fewer metadata fields may no longer match a credential that was signed for the original file.
EXIF, IPTC and XMP are file metadata. They describe information attached to a file. An invisible watermark such as SynthID is embedded in the image content. Removing metadata does not remove a watermark from pixels.
Content Credentials are signed records about an asset. If a workflow removes or changes a credential, verification may fail or the credential may no longer be present. Deprint does not claim that a processed image has no watermark or credential.
The preview shows a simulated SynthID step. It does not inspect or modify a SynthID watermark. No result on this page proves whether an image was made or edited with AI.
